CONTENT QUESTIONS: |
Q: What is the ratio of Omega 3 to 6 in the product?
A: One to one.
Q: What is the sugar content?
A: Each tablespoon of Udo's Choice Beyond Greens contains 0.8 g of sugar. One medium carrot contains 4.8 g and one medium size banana contains 17.8 g of sugar.
Q: What is the gluten content?
A: There are 10 ppm in each serving, a very small amount.
Q: Does our Udo's Choice Beyond Greens have SOD in it since it supposedly is in most of the greens ingredients in the product?
A: It should contain some - very little, but not confirmed by test.
Q: Are there any phytosterols in Udo's Choice Beyond Greens or Wholesome Fast Food Blend?
A: All the plant materials in the Udo's Choice Beyond Greens and Wholesome Fast Food Blend are uncooked, so the phytosterols should still be there. The sterolins, which stay with the fibre, should also be present, as they are in the flax pulp in the products. These two substances will be tested for soon, and results will be available.
Q: Is there phytic acid in Udo's Choice Beyond Greens, and does it interfere with other nutrients?
A: Yes, there is phytic acid in the seed cake. Phytic acid is a naturally occurring compound, however, it is usually bound to the protein, calcium, magnesium, and zinc that are in the seeds). These complexes are insoluble and unavailable for metabolism. This means the phytic acid in the seeds/seed cake will not bind to the nutrients from other ingredients in either the Udo's Choice Beyond Greens nor the Wholesome Fast Food Blend.
Q: Are the enzymes in Udo's Choice Beyond Greens live?
A: The digestive enzyme blend added to Udo's Choice Beyond Greens is live but not active. It will require appropriate conditions to become active such as in the stomach and intestine. They do not need anything to keep them alive during their inactive state. However, they are sensitive to moisture. Keeping the supplement away from moisture and heat is the best way to preserve the enzymes in the supplement.

DOSAGE QUESTIONS:
|
Q: What are the children's amounts?
A: Children should take it according to body weight. tsp for every 25 lbs.
Q: Does the soluble fibre in Udo's Choice Beyond Greens and Wholesome Fast Food Blend bind with cholesterol (and other fats) to naturally expel them, and therefore, would the fibre interact and expel the essential fats? If not, why not?
A: This concept is only true about the fats if the fibre is "dry", like psyllium husks. Dry fiber will take minerals and fats out of the body, because it is so parched. The fibre in Udo's Choice Beyond Greens is accompanied by oils, minerals, and other nutrients, therefore, that does not happen.
Q: Do you get dry skin from using these products?
A: Dry skin is a possible indicator that the beneficial fats and minerals are being removed. Under normal consumption circumstances, this does not occur with Udo's products. |

A: Both are farmed on man made lakes - Spirulina in CA and Chlorella in Taiwan

MISCELLANEOUS QUESTIONS: |
Q: Why is Udo's Choice Beyond Greens better than other green products?
A: Unlike most green products, Udo's Choice Beyond Greens has essential fats and lots of fibre in it, in addition to the greens. Also there are herbs in it that support the inner organs. It is a more complete food supplement, and can be used as a meal replacement.
Q: What is the chlorella good for?
A: Chlorella's most outstanding feature, and one that sets it apart from other 'super foods', is its proven ability to assist the body in detoxifying harmful air-, water- and food-borne 'heavy metals' and chemical pollutants; proven contributors to many of today's common degenerative disease conditions.
In Japan, chlorella is by far the most popular nutritional supplement today, with over seven million daily users. This popularity is partly due to Government classification as a 'functional food' (a food that has scientifically proven to be beneficial within the human diet).
Chlorella is not a quick fix, but a tool to help you achieve and maintain long-term optimal health. Most users begin to feel the true benefits of chlorella once they have been taking it daily for two to three months. As a source of assimilable essential nutrients chlorella has few, if any peers. 19 amino acids, including all eight 'essentials' are present in excellent ratios, the highest quantities of chlorophyll and RNA/DNA ever discovered within a natural source, an abundance of vitamins and minerals plus unsaturated essential fatty acids; making chlorella a microscopic but mighty nutritional powerhouse. Chlorella contains valuable elements beyond these macro nutrients too. It's unique phytochemical known as CGF, or Chlorella Growth Factor is believed to be responsible for many of the therapeutic effects that have been reported in scientific journals throughout the world. Disease usually occurs in a body 'out of balance'. Your body has a remarkable capacity for self-healing; if it has adequate amounts of essential nutrients. Chlorella helps you to achieve and maintain this balance by restoring many nutrients missing from today's refined, processed foods.
Beyond the documented therapeutic effects, most users report increased energy levels, improved mental clarity, a clearer complexion, an overwhelming sense of 'well-being' and a remarkable freedom from stress-induced tensions or anxiety. A small number of new users may experience a 'healing crisis' as their bodies adjust to chlorella and begin to shed toxins. Some misinterpret this as an allergic reaction, which although possible, is extremely rare, even among sufferers of multiple chemical sensitivity. Examples of these rare detoxification reactions are mild headaches, stomach cramps or nausea, skin blemishes or bowel irregularity. These effects usually diminish and disappear within a week to ten days as the body adjusts and begins to work towards biochemical balance, or 'homeostasis'. The suggested daily 'health maintenance' usage is three grams, or nine capsules per day. This may sound a lot, but one must remember that chlorella is a natural whole food and not a chemically-synthesized multivitamin product.
Many people ask about the differences between chlorella and the 'blue-green' algae, or cyano bacteria. Chlorella is a true plant, having cell-walls of cellulose. 'Blue-greens' do not offer this unique detoxifying mechanism.
Chlorella's microscopic size (each cell is barely larger than a human red blood cell) allows micro-fine filtering which excludes any other potentially toxic strain of algae or inorganic matter, this yielding an exceptionally pure and 'clean' harvest. 'Blue-green' algae are many times larger and thus cannot be harvested using this optimal process.
Scientific justification for the regular use of chlorella as a preventative nutritional supplement is unparalleled among any of the other algae or so-called green super foods. |
